Abijah: (Hebrew) My Father is God.

A place where I write about loss and life and faith while figuring out exactly what it means to call God my Father. This isn’t as much of a personal blog as my attempt to take a personal crisis and use it to tell a specific story. Mine—after losing my dad at the age of 20. Think of this as sitting down for a hot cup of tea and good conversation, which I promise will be completely raw and honest; because if I’ve learned anything since my dad’s diagnosis, it’s that we all need to be a little more open about our struggles.

PS: I wrote about six drafts of this page before deciding none of them worked. (Which, if you know anything about the writing process, isn’t that shocking). So, for a more in-depth explanation, click here.
